Transversing Telescopic Jib BMU

 Uses

A transversing telescopic jib BMU (Building Maintenance Unit) is a type of system used to provide access to the exterior of buildings for maintenance and cleaning. The system typically consists of a telescopic jib arm that can extend and retract to reach different parts of the building. "Transversing" refers to the ability of the BMU to move horizontally, either on rails or tracks, allowing it to cover large sections of a building facade efficiently.

 Key Features

  • Telescopic jib arm: The arm can extend outwards, making it possible to access deep or recessed areas of a building.

  • Transversing capability: The BMU can move horizontally across the roof or building, usually along a rail system, to cover different areas without needing to reposition the entire unit.

  • Cradle or platform: The BMU typically has a cradle or platform where workers stand while cleaning or performing maintenance tasks.

  • Hoisting system: The unit includes a winch or hoist to raise and lower the cradle from the roof to the required level.
